Q. Does Salon Cypress offer part-time chair or shared chair rental?
A. No. We only offer full-time chair rental to ensure stylists have access to their space at all times. We do not allow chair sharing as each stylist must have their own lease agreement and follow all state board sanitation and disinfection rules.
Q. What is included in chair rental?
A. Each lease includes a beautiful Minerva Avante styling chair, a large mirror which is positioned in front of large windows for natural light, a 4-drawer station, a 2-plug outlet, a product cabinet with 4 cube storage on top, and an upper shelf for product display or retail. Salon Cypress also provides black towels if needed and full access to our client refreshment bar.
Q. How much is chair rental?
A. As of May 2025 full-time chair rental is $190 per week. Security desposit and first week rent is due at lease signing.
Q. Do I have access to the building?
A. Yes, all renters have a gate key and door access code to allow 24/7 access for clients.
Q. What responsibilities do I have as a renter?
A. Renters are responsible for proper opening and securing the building if they are the only individual on premises, sanitation and disinfection of their space to meet state regulation, and cleaning up after themselves in common areas such as the wash bowl and break-room. Renters who choose to use towels provided by the salon are also required to help wash and folding as well as washing refreshment bar glassware used by their clients.
Q. Are renters required to use Salon Cypress products?
A. No. We understand that renters are self-employed artists working within the Salon Cypress building but not employees. Therefore, renters may use whatever professional products and retail products they choose.
Q. Does Salon Cypress promote renters?
A. Renters may have their booking link added to the Salon Cypress website if desired, however Salon Cypress does not regularly market renters as we are a hybrid salon and place our marketing efforts on commission stylists who are employees of Salon Cypress.
Q. Does Salon Cypress offer a booking and POS system for renters?
A. No. Legally, Salons must not accept any payment from renters clients, therefore all renters must have their own client booking and payment system. Renters are responsible for all client booking and communication.
Q. Does Salon Cypress offer education for renters?
A. Yes, Salon Cypress invites all renters to join for education classes which may pertain to their desired specialty, however Salon Cypress does not provide doll heads or products for hands-on use.
Q. How many renters does Salon Cypress have?
A. We have 2 suites(currently filled), and 7 chairs. We currently have 2 chairs available.
